HISTORIC MARKERS

This interactive map highlights historic markers throughout Lancaster that tell the stories of the city's African American past. The markers and interpretive signs were designed by AAHSSCPA member and historian Randy Harris, whose work reflects his belief that history is local - that the stories of communities are written in the streets, buildings, and neighborhoods around us.
