VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
EVENTS COORDINATOR
African American Historical Society of South-Central Pennsylvania is in search of a volunteer Events Coordinator.

Responsibilities
-
Develop an event calendar and implement programs that align with the AAHSSCPA’s vision, mission, and goals.
-
Maintain event budgets.
-
Remain under budget with all costs.
-
Schedule speakers.
-
Recruit volunteers.
-
Work with all event members.
-
Identify volunteer needs and figure out how to meet them.
-
Communicate with volunteers.
-
Organize and delegate event tasks.
-
Manage all events set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes.
-
Establish and maintain relationships with venue sites.
-
Plan event details and aspects, including seating, dining and guests.
-
Manage events and address potential problems that may arise.
-
Plan for potential scenarios that could impact on the integrity of an event.
