About the event

Bethel AME Church York invites the community to a moving and thought-provoking presentation, We Called Their Names: Reclaiming the Ancestors of the Hampton Plantation, led by AAHSSCPA's Genealogist, historian and descendant-researcher Neicy DeShields-Moulton.

Through meticulous research, storytelling, and ancestral recovery, this program centers the lives, names, and legacies of the enslaved individuals connected to the Hampton Plantation - restoring dignity to those long erased from the historical record. This is more than a lecture; it is an act of remembrance, a call to truth, and a sacred space for honoring ancestors whose stories still shape our present.

All are welcome to attend this meaningful gathering of history, faith, and collective memory.
