About the event

AAHSSCPA member and historian Dr. Leroy Hopkins presents a compelling talk on the history of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, one of Lancaster’s most significant African American institutions. Hosted by the Bethel Men’s Fellowship, this program will explore the church’s enduring legacy, community impact, and historical importance. The Men’s Group meets at 9:00 AM in the Bethel Cultural Center (former Reigart Elementary School), located at 512 E. Strawberry Street, Lancaster.

The Society was organized in 2005 as an affiliate of the Crispus Attucks Community Center of Lancaster, PA. 

The Society now operates independently as a 501(c)(3).
