The Road to Freedom exhibit featured a collection of photographs, illustrations, and maps depicting Lancaster County's rich African American heritage, with particular focus on the Underground Railroad.

Based on the narratives included in The Tour Conductor Guidebook, published by African American Historical Society of South-Central Pennsylvania, 2018, by Randolph Harris and Dr. Leroy T. Hopkins, Jr.
